Leticia Gonzalez-Reyes

Leticia was raised in Brazil, a country rich in diversity and contrasts and what she says gave her an inherent understanding about the differences that exist between the so called “haves” and “have-nots”. The unfair differences in her own country sparked her desire to pursue social entrepreneurship, and although being immersed for over 6 years in this community of self-identified “social entrepreneurs” was eye opening, her biggest take away was unexpected. She realized that it doesn’t matter how impactful your business is for the world, if when you go back home you continue being your own worst boss and don’t have patience for your family or gratitude for your team, you are taking one step forward and two steps back.

Leticia deeply believes that we will only see the change we want to see in the world when all of us change how we treat ourselves and our surroundings. This realization is what ultimately led Leticia to co-found 109 World.

Keynotes, Panels, Workshops & Interviews

Leticia has given keynotes and led workshops in front of audiences larger than five hundred people as part of annual summits (Net Impact Conference, Hult Prize Regionals, The Self-Made Summit) and in closed door sessions with teams and company retreats. She speaks frequently on topics ranging from fulfillment and happiness laying just as much in the hands of the leaders, corporations and executives as much as in the hands of coaches, practitioners and healers, to the importance of mindfulness when it comes to creating real change in the world.

Fulfillment & Happiness At Work

“Work. It’s the one thing that I can think of that unites us. It’s basically what brought us here. Most of us cannot live without it and yet we know that 66% of the workforce are unfulfilled by it. Think about that.  That’s more than half of your team knocking on your door tomorrow to tell you, ‘hey I’m miserable’.”

Urgency For Self-Care & Mindfulness

“What if before we try to be good mentors with each other at work we get to know ourselves better? What if before we go traveling around the world on our sabbatical we stop to ask what we’re hoping to achieve and learn? What if before we ‘share our values’ we stop to figure out what those values are on our own terms?”
